When we were planning Katie’s session, trying to decide where to go, I offered a few suggestions. As her session grew nearer, Katie’s mom contacted me and asked if we could stay closer to home. They had decided to stay in Rocklin because this was their home, where Katie grew up, and a place that has a lot of meaning to them. I LOVE that! For years to come, they will be able look back at these photos and not only remember Katie as a high school senior, but have a glimpse into a Rocklin park that she visited as a child to tell an even bigger story.
Her whole session was amazing. The weather was gorgeous, the light was amazing, and she literally rocked every single set up we did!
This little creek in Rocklin is one of my favorite local places to shoot. I take my own kids here to play in the summer. Who knows, maybe I’ll be doing their senior portraits here one day!
She chose the perfect outfits for this location! I loved every single one!
In the spring around here, it is well known that all the dead grass will be mowed down at some point for fire prevention. Her session was just in time though, because a week later I went back to look and sure enough, this beautiful field was gone!
Usually smiling poses are my favorite, but this expression from Katie is gorgeous!
I had so much fun photographing Katie and getting to know her over the months of planning her session, shooting, and getting her prints ordered and delivered. It’s one of my favorite things about being a high school senior photographer; getting to build relationships with my clients.
